Water

There are many different kinds of water, usually people speak about hard and soft water. It is preferable to use softer water for preparing tea. The choice of the water is of great importance and has a very direct and obvious outcome. If you use good tea you may also consider using good water. Usually the bottled mineral water is better than the water from the tab. Of course everyone has a different taste, water all the same. Yet it is useful to become mindful of the water.

Not only the quality of the water is decisive also the temperature of the water is of great importance for the outcome. However different classes of tea have different temperatures of water for brewing tea. In the chart you can see which temperatures of water are recommended with each class. Also it is good to experiment on this aspect so that you yourself will be able to understand and experience why it is recommended as such.
