This Mini Cooked Rose Cake comes from the Haiwan factory. It was piled and fermented in its Menghai production base in 2007. All of the cakes are compressed and consists of delicate tea buds instead of broken leaves.The mini cakes we offer belong to the the category of "cooked" Puerh tea. Cooked puerh is suitable for consuming right after the production but it tends to become better and more mature as time passes. These Puerh cakes have been blended (in a natural way) with rose pedals, the result is a fine combination of earthiness of the pu-erh and freshness of the rose pedals.

 

Appearance: Dark and bloom, dotted with pink colour (from rose pedals)

Liquid: Dark Red

Taste: Combination of earthy and fresh

Origin: Menghai County, Yunnan Province

Harvest: 2007

 

Puerh tea can be brewed with the gaiwan method, with a big teapot and most suitable for gongfu style tea brewing. The teapots used for brewing usually come from Yixing and one pot often times is reserved for one kind of tea. As Pu-erh tea has a strong taste and fragrance the first brew (the water) can be discarded, in order to remove dust from the cakes (they have been kept for a long period of time).
