This Alishan Gaoshan wulong originates from Jiayi County in Taiwan, and grows high up in tea gardens of 1000 meters and higher. Alishan Gaoshan tea is typical Taiwan wulong tea in terms of processing. The relative short periods of sunshine causes Alishan Gaoshan tea to have a relative low quantity of bitter components such as catechins. Add to that the rich content and sweet flavor, Alishan Gaoshan tea is endowed with a perfect combination of mellowness and liveliness. Its fruity fragrance is exceptionally light and mild. Definitely recommended for those in favor of Taiwan wulong tea.

Description: Tightly rolled into bead shape. Dry tea gives aroma similar to that of sweet potato.

Infusion: Brilliant golden color

Taste: Mellow taste quickly followly by faint sweetness. Fresh experience lasts even after the 7th brewing.

To brew Alishan Gaoshan tea, first put the dry tea leaves (ratio leaves to water, 1:10) into the gaiwan, yixing clay pot or porcelain teapot, then pour 90 degree hot water into the teaware. The first round the water is immediately discarded, this is to clean the tea of dust and other unwanted substances. After that 90 degree hot water can again be poured into the teaware. Steeping time for second round can be up to 5 seconds. Steeping time can be prolonged with each subsequent brew. Alishan Gaoshan tea can be brewed for 7 rounds.
