A classic recipe of the Menghai factory. Popular with collectors for long term storage. Presently the taste is still fairly astingent, which is expected to mellow in the years to come.
Appearance: Tight compression with even stripes and red brown colour.
Infusion: Light yellow.
Taste: Soft texture of soup. Strong flavour with lasting aftertaste

To brew 08 Menghai 7542, first put dry tea leaves (ratio leaves to water, 1:18) into the Yixing clay pot or ceramic gaiwan, then pour 100 degree water into the tea ware. Rinse the tea one or two times and discard all the liquid. Let it brew for 5 seconds for the first round and it is ready for drinking. Steeping time can be prolonged with each subsequent brew. This tea can be brewed for at least 6/7 rounds
